Chief Pocatello Project Photos

Selected Photos from the Chief Pocatello Project

Artist's Conception 1:  An artist's conception of Chief Pocatello - unfortunately, from what few descriptions remain of Chief Pocatello, he probably did not look like this.

Artist's Conception 2:  This sketch of Chief Pocatello appeared in a booklet published about the town of Pocatello in 1915.  There would have been people living then who had known Chief Pocatello personally so this sketch is probably closer to being a true likeness.

Site Design

Ted Booth has created a site design. The committee on 3/19/08 approved the arrowhead shape and path.  The flagpole idea was also approved. Some discussion on sign location and benches still remains. Please see the site design below. Note that surface will be made up of pavers and there will be an edging around the perimeter of the arrowhead.

There are two flagpoles on the site - one representing the USA and the other representing the Indian nation.
